We will talk with you about your event and make sure the birthday person has a very special time. Popular activities include an introduction to fire lighting with some camp fire cooking, wide games and shelter building but if you have something specific in mind then please ask.<br \/><br \/> \r\nOur standard bushcraft party is 2 hours long and may include.<\/p>\r\n    <ul>\r\n   <li> An introduction to fire lighting \u2013 use a fire steel.<\/li>\r\n   <li> Knifework to create tinder materials.<\/li>\r\n    <li> Marshmallows and dampers (dampers are like campfire croissants!)<\/li>\r\n    <li> Shelter building.<\/li>\r\n    <li> Game or activity.<\/p><\/li>\r\n<ul>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<h3>Dates<\/h3>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>These courses are run on demand at any time of the year.<\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<h3>Cost<\/h3>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Our standard birthday package for up to 6 people costs \u00a390.For larger numbers please get in touch so that we can give you a fair price. The sessions are usually 3 hours long and are a fantastic way for family and friends to come together to have fun in the outdoors and learn about bushcraft.<\/p>\r\n    <ul>\r\n    <li> During your time with us you\u2019ll be shown:<\/li>\r\n   <li>Cutting tools and how to use them safely.<\/li>\r\n  <li>Shelter making.<\/li>\r\n   <li>A variety of ways to light a fire without matches.<\/li>\r\n    <li> How to use your fire to cook a simple meal outdoors.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<h3>Dates<\/h3>\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>We generally run these courses on demand and at specific dates through the summer holidays.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><\/p>\r\n<h3>Cost<\/h3>\r\n<p>The courses are charged at \u00a335 per person and we need a minimum of 4 people to allow the course to run. <\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div>\r\n<!--<div class=\"custom-group\">\r\n<h3>One Day Bushcraft Course<\/h3>\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"right Imgtop\" src=\"https:\/\/chmas.co.uk\/wpchmas21\/wp-content\/uploads\/TNBP3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"173\" height=\"130\"\" \/> \r\n<p>If you would like to indulge yourself in a full day of bushcraft this is the course for you. This course is designed to be \u2018hands on\u2019 with one of our instructors on hand just in case you need a little help. You will leave the course with lots of new skills but be warned it is very addictive.<\/p>\r\n<p>After meeting with your instructor, they will take you to the bushcraft site where they will show you how to set up camp and look after yourself outdoors. A typical programme for theses courses might include.<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n    <li> Cutting tools and how to use them safely.<\/li>\r\n    <li> Woodcraft \u2013 carving and making tools.<\/li>\r\n    <li> Shelter making.<\/li>\r\n   <li> A variety of ways to light a fire without matches.<\/li>\r\n   <li> Game preparation.<\/li>\r\n    <li> Foraging (plants and their uses).<\/li>\r\n   <li> Natural cordage.<\/li>\r\n   <li>Knife law.<\/li>\r\n   <li> Damper bread.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Dates<\/h3>\r\n<p>We generally run these courses on demand.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h3>Costs<\/h3>\r\n<p>The courses are charged at \u00a370 per person and we need a minimum of 4 people to allow the course to run. <\/p>\r\n<hr \/><\/div>\r\n<!-- \/wp:group --><!--\r\n<\/div>-->\r\n<div><!-- \/wp:group -->\r\n\r\n<div class=\"custom-group\"><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\r\n<h3>School Bushcraft Courses<\/h3>\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"right Imgtop\" src=\"https:\/\/chmas.co.uk\/wpchmas21\/wp-content\/uploads\/TNBP4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"173\" height=\"130\"\" \/> \r\n<p>Learning outside the classroom engages with all ages and all abilities and promotes a sense of well being. This can be brought about by such simple things such as identifying a tree, creating an ember by friction fire lighting or more commonly getting a fire going to toast marshmallows or cook a meal.<\/p>\r\n<p>These courses are run to your requirements at a location of your choice, which could be the school grounds, a farmer\u2019s field (provided we have permission) or at one our locations.<\/p>\r\n<p>To date, we have provided the following unique activities.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n<dt>Woodland Fun Session<\/dt>\r\n<dd>Exploring in the woods to hunt down the \u2018Graffalo\u2019 for a local nursery.<\/dd>\r\n<dt>Bushcraft Taster Sessions<\/dt>\r\n<dd>A progressive series of 1 hour sessions to introduce the key bushcraft skills of safe tool use, fire lighting, carving and camp cooking for a local primary school.<\/dd>\r\n<dt>Bushcraft Team Challenges<\/dt>\r\n<dd>After a bit of instruction the teams need to collect the materials for a fire, then using a method of their choice light it, once its lit use the fire to cook a simple meal and then clear up afterwards. These courses have proven to be popular for uniformed youth organisations and for corporate team events.<\/dd>\r\n<dt>Fire Lighting Sessions<\/dt>\r\n<dd>A full session on how to light a fire without matches from bow drill used by our ancient ancestors right through to chemical reactions. A great way to engage young people in physics, chemistry and biology.<br \/><br >\r\nIf you would like us to provide one of these activities for you then please get in touch to discuss your requirements so that we can give you a fair price.<\/dd><\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"custom-group\"><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\r\n<h3>CPD Sessions \/ Technical Advice<\/h3>\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"right Imgtop\" src=\"https:\/\/chmas.co.uk\/wpchmas21\/wp-content\/uploads\/TNBP5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"173\" height=\"130\"\" \/> \r\n<p>Chris is a very experienced Bushcraft Instructor who trained under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.survivalschool.co.uk\/product\/level-4-instructors-course-ncfe-iiq-accredited\/\">Survival School<\/a>  and he is also an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outdoor-learning.org\/standards\/iol-awards-and-accreditation\/bushcraft\/bushcraft-competency-certificate.html\">Institute for Outdoor Learning Bushcraft Practitioner <\/a>.  These awards combined with his experience means he is well placed to help your staff develop bushcraft skills by either running CPD Sessions or issuing Certificates of Competence so that you know your staff are competent to lead the bushcraft activities that they run.
