Our Rescue Emergency Care (REC) Automated External Defribulator (AED) course is run over half a day and will provide you with the skill to use and maintain an AED effectively. AED's are now in place at many workplaces and leisure areas and knowing how to use one could dramatically improve the survival rate for someone who is having a cardiac arrest.


The course covers the following topics:
  • Safety of self, bystanders and casualty;
  • Vital signs conscious level, breathing, colour & temperature;
  • Accident procedure & safe airway position;
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and
  • Use of an AED.


Successful completion of the course leads to a Rescue Emergency Care (REC) AED Training certificate, which is valid for one year.

Course Dates & Cost

These courses are run on demand and it is expected that all participants will have undertaken formal first aider training prior to attending the course.
