What does the course fee include?

The course fee is for instruction and all equipment only unless stated otherwise. Clients will need to make their own arrangements for accommodation and catering.

Will any other costs be incurred?

Some of the venues we use for canoeing / kayaking have a water fee where these are applicable these will be payable by the Client. For the NNAS Awards / BCU Star Tests there is a small fee for the certificates and badges.

Is transport provided?

Transport is not provided and Clients will be expected to have their own transport available for the duration of the activity.

How long do the Activities / Course Last?

As a general rule for our full day courses we aim to meet around 09:00 and finish the activity by 17:00 with lunch and breaks throughout the day as required. Half day sessions are normally 09:00 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00.

Do you offer a discount for multiple days?

We believe our prices are already very competitive but please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Do you accept children on your activities?

Yes, we are registered with The Adventure Activities Licensing Service as licensed to provide specified activities under the following headings: Climbing; Trekking and Watersports. Holding such a license is a legal requirement to provide certain outdoor activities to unaccompanied activities.

Are there any age restrictions on the activities?

We generally accept children aged 10 or over on all our activities. However, if you have children under the age of 10 then please contact us to discuss your requirements.

I have a medical condition / disability or I take prescribed medication can I still take part?

Yes, but please contact us first so that informed decisions can be made.

Do you have a maximum group size?

We are a small company and try to keep our group sizes to 6 or less depending on the activity so that you do not become lost as part of a large group.

What happens if the course is cancelled?

You will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

What happens if I am unable to attend?

If cancel your course / activity within 31 days of the commencement of your activity / course you will be liable for the full course fee. If you cancel your course / activity earlier than this you will forfeit your deposit.

Where do we meet?

We normally meet in a cafe just before the activity to discuss the programme for the day. You will be notified of this when we receive your booking.

What do I need to bring?

On receipt of your booking form we will send you a suggested kit list or you can download it from our site. If you need any further help or guidance then please contact us.

What Instructors do you use?

The majority of the courses are designed and run by Chris. Where we need to use additional instructors they are well known to us, have the appropriate qualification for the activity and a current first aid qualification.

I have some of my own equipment. Will I be able to use it?

If you have some of your own equipment you are welcome to use it as long as its meets our safety checks.

I can't swim but would like to try canoeing / kayaking can I take part in this activity?

Ideally, for activities involving water we expect our customers to be able to swim 50m in light clothing. However, if you are water confident then it might be possible to introduce you to canoeing. Please contact us first to discuss your requirements.

How do I secure my Activity / Course?

A minimum deposit of 50% of the activity / course fee secures your booking. The outstanding balance is to be paid 31 days prior to commencement of your activity / course.

What is the Method of Payment?

Cheques made should be made payable to Chris Hughes Multi Activity Services Ltd.
