HEARTSTART CHMAS - Emergency Life Support Training

Here at CHMAS, we firmly believe that everyone should have the chance to learn valuable life saving skills and we are pleased to be accredited to run the Heathstart scheme through the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

The Heartstart courses are provided free of charge and typically last for two to three hours. You will be provided with 'hands on' practical training to deal with:

  • Recognising a cardiac arrest and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR);
  • choking;
  • serious bleeding; and
  • someone that maybe having a heart attack.

Completion of the course will give you the simple skills needed in a life threatening emergency that could help you to save the life of someone you love. Also, if you can do CPR, then it more than doubles the chances of survival for someone who has a cardiac arrest.

Heartstart schemes train around 130,000 peaple in life saving skills each year so come along and join them.
